About GSEA
The Global Student Entrepreneur Awards (GSEA), organized by EO, is an international business competition for student entrepreneurs.
The award is open to students who have started and run their own businesses while enrolled at university, and the business is evaluated on its originality and growth potential.
Through local, regional and global qualifiers, the winners will be determined and will receive prize money, mentorship and networking opportunities. GSEA is a great opportunity for student entrepreneurs to hone their business skills and expand their international network.
GSEA World Championship Exhibition held at EXPO Hall!
The highlight of this event is the pitch competition for student entrepreneurs, "GSEA2025," to be held on Sunday, June 22, 2025. This competition, in which student entrepreneurs who have won preliminary rounds around the world compete, has been held by EO around the world in the past to support future entrepreneurs. This time, it will be held at the Osaka Expo, and high school and university students from Japan will be invited free of charge to participate, providing an opportunity to increase interest in entrepreneurship.

Expo Admission Ticket: Applicants will be given an Expo Ticket ID.
*The Expo ticket ID provided to you will not be sufficient for admission to the Expo venue.
You can link your Expo ID to your ticket by logging in to the official sales website for the Osaka, Kansai Expo, selecting "Add ticket registration" from the My Tickets screen and entering your ticket ID (10-digit alphanumeric code).

Representative Director Takao Ozawa
After joining CSK (now SCSK) in 1995, he founded Bizseek in 1999 and sold it to Rakuten in 2001. He joined Rakuten in 2003 when Bizseek was absorbed into the company. He was appointed as an executive in charge of auctions. In 2005, he became the director and general manager of the business division of Rakuten Baseball. After leaving the company in 2006, he started investing in and consulting for startup ventures as an individual. From 2009 to 2012, he was an advisor to Rakuten. In 2011, he sold Crocos, which he founded, to Yahoo (now LINE Yahoo), and joined Yahoo in 2012. In 2013, he was in charge of Yahoo Shopping as an executive officer at Yahoo, and in April 2018, he was appointed as the Managing Executive Officer and Head of the Commerce Company, overseeing e-commerce, travel, and financial businesses. In June 2019, he was appointed as the COO of Yahoo, overseeing all commerce and media businesses. In April 2022, he was appointed as the President and CEO of Yahoo. He will serve as an advisor to LINE Yahoo! from October 2023 to September 2024. In January 2024, he founded the venture capital management company Boost Capital and became its representative director.

Access to the Expo Venue
We are currently in the process of coordinating transportation for EO members to the Expo site on the day of the event. We will provide you with details as soon as they are decided.
In addition, there are other public transport options available to get to the Expo site, as detailed below.

Please note that the entrance gate to the Expo site will change depending on the mode of transportation you use.
The East Gate in particular is expected to be quite crowded, so we recommend entering from the West Gate.
